LOCATION : Pantin, France

PROJECT TYPE : urban design

PROBLEM STATEMENT : Propose a plan for the rejuvenation of this highly industrialized area of Pantin, a suburb northeast of Paris. The proposal included : housing, public green space, a commercial center, office spaces, elementary school, daycare, and addition to the existing music conservatory. In addition to the program requirements, a hotel and city museum were also proposed.

DESIGN GOALS :
- bring life back into the area via the new commercial center and office spaces
- encourage large companies to move into the area
- encourage and entice visitors to discover the area
- instill a sense of community pride in the Pantinois
